Previous Project—
Department of Defense Land Mine Project

Description

Kb Port’s ETC Technology has been implemented in a beta project for studying the effects of the outdoor elements on land mines and improvised explosive devices (IED) which could possibly aid troops in visual detection. The system captures still images (8 mega pixel) every 15 minutes from four independent cameras which are spaced evenly across a grid. Each camera is housed in a modified video surveillance dome. The system also integrates data from a weather pod and multiple moisture sensors located above and below each land mine or IED. The data is then attached to each image where it is stored locally and then sent via satellite to an ETC server. The ETC server can be located anywhere in the world.
