May 6, 2008

The Advanced Initiatives in Medical Simulation (AIMS) brings the expertise of researchers, academia, military, government, health care providers, societies, credentialing organizations, and industry together for its 5th Annual Conference & Exhibition. The event highlights the importance of medical simulation for public policymakers who are addressing issues related to patient safety, medical errors, and health care costs as well as private policymakers who are seeking successful risk management strategies, incentivizing behavior change, and ensuring high quality patient care.

The goal of this day is to convene the medical simulation community to discuss national efforts by academia, providers, professional societies, boards, and industry to promote medical simulation. This meeting is a collaborative effort to define the scope and needs of the medical simulation community.
