Tacoma Community College Nursing Program

Tacoma Community College's Nursing program has been in the process of building a HPS lab. Kb Port's ETC system and installation process gave us a clean professional appearance with excellent functionality.

The first time I saw the KB Port setup was during my Laerdal factory training in New York during August of 2007. Previously, I had been looking at the Laerdal Advanced Video System (AVS) for debriefing.

After comparing the two, I decided on Kb Port's ETC system. The system was installed in one day, with my personal orientation the next day. The KB Port ETC software is setup on a Linux based notebook and the HUD (heads up display) has great functionality. The system was very easy to use. During the orientation, Chuck Miller helped me utilize the ETC's capabilities specifically for TCC's simulation program.

A great feature of the ETC system is that the Laerdal software for Sim-Man and Sim-Baby is on the same workstation as my viewing client. This allows me to remain focused on running the labs with the learners and able to make an accurate recording of the footage. This capability increased my efficiency and reduced the amount of setup time associated with simulation.

Through and through I remain quite impressed with this product, even a month after I first turned it on.

Now, if I only had seven more mannequins!
